The latest in a long line of iconic BOXER power plants, it produces 271 horsepower and features a twin-scroll turbocharger with an electronic wastegate for near-instant boost response and 258 pound-feet of peak torque with a broad, flat power band.

The 2022 WRX pushes its razor-sharp handling even further with its reengineered suspension. New for 2022, the rear anti-roll bar is now mounted directly to the chassis to provide increased roll control and improved ride. Cornering, steering balance, and stability are all enhanced thanks to upgraded dampers, a stiffer chassis, and high-performance summer tires. The newly available GT trim raises the handling bar even higher with electronically adjustable dampers, allowing driver-controlled changes at the touch of a button.
