HONOLULU – SubaruHawaii.com – Subaru of America announced recently that it is conducting a safety recall on certain model year 2016-17 Subaru Legacy and Outback vehicles.
The steering column of the involved vehicles may have been improperly built and turning the steering wheel may have no effect on the direction of the wheels.
A total of three vehicles are affected here in Hawaii. Subaru Hawaii is not aware of any injuries or fatalities in Hawaii caused by this condition.
Owners of the involved vehicles will receive a notification by first class mail advising them when they can make an appointment with their nearest authorized Subaru Hawaii Service Center to have their vehicles remedied at no charge.
Subaru owners affected by this recall who notice anything abnormal with the operation of their vehicle should contact their dealership with any questions or concerns.
